Worn Again

  • Worn Again is a non-profit project that strives to extend the life of clothing and keep fast fashion out of landfills. This project will help reduce waste and promote a "reuse and recycle" culture in the fashion industry. The project was inspired by the Love Your Clothes campaign in the United Kingdom. Worn Again works to find new methods to reuse clothing through reform/DIY projects, new styling tips, and innovative, energy-reductive washing tips.

  • The Worn Again project needed a brand identity to help invite young audiences to think about consumer behavior in fashion with hopes of helping the environment. The Worn Again team wished to communicate that the effort to reuse and recycle clothing requires the proactive participation of many individuals to make a difference collectively. The idea of "Parts that make up a larger whole" is a core idea for the logo and identity.

  • A name, logo, and look-and-feel were created to help support the idea of a longer lifespan of clothing and promote Worn Again. The name 'Worn Again' stemmed from the idea of being 'born again.' The idea of a sacred rebirth for a higher purpose brought meaning to the promotion of the extended lifecycle of clothing. The Worn Again logo was also conceived from this idea. The logo is created by four core pillars of the Worn Again project that explain the project's initiatives:

    1) Heal and mend used clothing

    2) Revitalize and rejuvenate styles

    3) Cleanse in a more environmentally conscious manner

    4) Extend a hand in aiding the environment through clothing.

SPECIAL PROJECT

The Second Show by Salvation Army x Worn Again

The Second Show by the Salvation Army x Worn Again is a special series of fashion shows hosted by Worn Again in collaboration with the Salvation Army.

To help promote the longevity of clothing and thrift culture, Worn Again has partnered with the Salvation Army, a prominent charity organization across the U.S.A. and UK., to host a series of outdoor fashion shows titled "The Second Show." These shows use clothing donations that can be bought at the local Salvation Army at a very low and reasonable price to style the featured looks.

"The Second Show" is a fun, interactive event that helps educate local audiences on how to style old clothing. The shows are hosted on the streets and open, free of charge, to the public. The show series hopes to help encourage further support for the Salvation Army and raise awareness of the dangers of wasteful fast fashion.
